Glory be to Jesus,
Who, in bitter pains,
Poured for me the lifeblood
From His sacred veins!

Grace and life eternal
In that blood I find;
Blest be His compassion,
Infinitely kind.

Blest through endless ages
Be the precious stream
Which from endless torments
Doth the world redeem.

Abel’s blood for vengeance
Pleaded to the skies;
But the blood of Jesus
For our pardon cries.

Oft as it is sprinkled
On our guilty hearts,
Satan in confusion
Terror struck departs.

Oft as earth exulting
Wafts its praise on high,
Angel hosts, rejoicing,
Make their glad reply.

Lift we then our voices,
Swell the mighty flood;
Louder still and louder
Praise the precious blood!

I Love You Blessed Mother

This song has stayed with me since first grade, and now, it is one of my childrens’ favorites, too.  It is very sweet to hear them singing this to themselves every once in awhile…I do the same sometimes! 🙂

I love you Blessed Mother, and I give to you
Everything I have and everything I do.
I want to be a saint loving God and doing good;
Just like a child of Mary should.

Note: I have no composer/lyricist information because this is a song shared from my memory from first grade. If you know anything about this song, please let me know in the comments! Thanks!
